The Peking is Bath’s longest established Chinese restaurant  listed in both the  Michelin and Ronay guides. Situated in Kingsmead Square next to the theatre and just a short walk from the  Abbey and Roman Baths. The extensive menu offers Cantonese, Szechuan and Peking cuisine. Flavours such as sweet and sour, ginger and spring onion, mingle freely with the more exotic creations typified by the much-loved lobster and crab dishes. The Peking Duck is a particular speciality, the dish is prepared entirely on the premises and has to be booked 24 hours in advance.  The Crispy Aromatic Duck, one of the most popular choices and it needs no advance order.  The softly lit, air conditioned interior is relaxing and  luxurious; the staff are friendly and welcoming. There is seating for 90 people, including the upstairs which has seats for 25, suitable for parties and private dining. A special lunch menu is available daily and an ‘As much as  you can eat’ menu on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. Takeaways are available.
